Volunteer with the Great Race
Volunteers are the backbone of the Great Race. The race simply can't happen without them. We're always looking for help with race setup, course marshaling, finish-line support, food and refreshments, and teardown after the race.

Roles that keep the race moving
From first setup to final teardown, volunteers help athletes, spectators, and staff have a smooth day at Emerson Park.
Race setup and teardown
Help prepare Emerson Park the morning of the race and break everything down afterward.
Course marshals
Staff turns and major intersections on the run and bike routes to keep racers safe and on course.
Finish line & timing support
Help racers across the line, collect place cards, and support the timing team.
Food & refreshments
Hand out snacks, drinks, and beverage tickets during the post-race celebration.
Safety boats
